Hi! Welcome to Tidylife. We are a nonprofit organisation helping the homeless and also referring people into addiction programs to suit their needs, aswel as helping kids with difficulties in life through play and therapy.

Here at Tidylife we provide meals at no cost to our homeless guests outside the GPO Dublin every wendsday evening from 7.30 pm to 9pm. This is sustained by committed and compassionate volunteers and also, by the generous contributions of donors. We do not receive any funding from the county, state or federal governments.

Our MISSION is simple: To feed homeless people and provide them with warm clothing and blankets that they need. We  provide healthy and nutritious meals to all who come through our doors. We are committed to improving the quality of life and restoring the dignity of those we serve when providing a hot meal to any homeless member of our community in need of one.

Our aim is to support the homeless in anyway we can, not just by giving them food and clothing, we also will help them to get into addiction programs if they are suffering from addiction, Tidylife also help kids on the streets that have difficulties by using play and therapy to help them to move forward.

Tidylife provide hot nutritious food, warm clothing and friendly conversation where it is needed. We offer the homeless community of Dublin compassion, respect and comfort, free of judgement. Our service is made up entirely of volunteers and all donations, in their entirety, are spent on food and clothing.

Information about Homelessness:

People can experience homeless for a variety of reasons such as family breakdown, social exclusion, mental health problems, drug or alcohol misuse. Structural reasons also lead to homelessness due to the shortage of housing supply, in addition to low income, rent or mortgage payments, debt and unemployment.

Homelessness across Ireland is on the increase. That’s due to a combination of factors: job losses, increased rental rates, more drug and alcohol addiction, increased mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. Broadly speaking, people who cannot provide themselves with somewhere safe and secure to live are experiencing some form of homelessness or are at risk of homelessness.

Homelessness can mean sleeping rough, staying in emergency hostels or shelters, staying in temporary bed and breakfast accommodation or staying with friends and relatives when there is nowhere else to go. Homelessness is all of these things.

The pressures that homeless people face to secure their own survival every day are unimaginable for most of us, and can be incredibly stressful. Exposure to substance abuse, crime, and domestic violence is common among the homeless community only add to the stress.

Referring people into addiction programs:

Addiction can start before you end up becoming homeless or it can also start while you are homeless. We are here to help and can get you into programmes to help you with your Addiction. It helps if you recognise that you have an addiction, so that we can get you the help that you need.

One of the most significant challenges in life is figuring out how to help someone with a drug addiction who doesn't want help. Recovery from drug addiction is challenging, even when those in need of assistance are ready and willing to work toward sobriety. It’s even harder when they don't want your help and have no interest in drug addiction therapy services.

Child therapy and play for kids:

Child therapy and play is very good for a child's mind and body, it can really make a child feel much better and confident in themselves. We can help organise therapy sessions for your child if they are homeless,  it offers a safe space and an empathetic ear while providing tools to bring about change in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
