Hi. My name is Seamus Whelan, I am the owner of SW Plumbing & Heating and a plumber with over 15 years experience in all aspects of plumbing and heating. We are based in Charleville County Cork and cover all the areas of Cork, Limerick and Kerry. We carry out all plumbing and heating installations and repairs for the private, domestic and commercial sectors.

Here at SW Plumbing & Heating We cover all aspects of plumbing work from a simple dripping tap to updating and improving existing heating systems aswel as everything else in between. For maximum efficiency boilers should be serviced at least once a year. We are a fully licensed and insured plumbing and heating Business who offer very competitive prices.

Information About Our Services As Follows:

Plumbing - What does a Plumber do? We install and repair pipes and fixtures that carry water, gas, or other fluids in homes and businesses, we also maintain plumbing fixtures like bathtubs,taps and toilets and appliances such as dishwashers or heating systems.

Heating systems - Your heating system usually has pipework and radiators which are connected to a boiler. The boiler provides the heat and the pump moves heated water from the boiler through the pipework to the radiators, and back to the boiler for reheating. It also provides hot water to the hot taps in your home. We can do this for you so you can be warm all year round aswel as having hot water any time you want it.

Boiler fitting - We will fit the boiler in the spot you have asked us to fit it. This will involve connecting to pumps, pipes to your radiators and water outlets, and your cold water mains supply. There might be also connections to hot and cold water storage tanks as well.

Boiler service - Not only will we examine the pipework for leaks but the pressure will be checked and the boiler flue will also be inspected for safety. Other item inspections include the burner and heat exchanger as they will need cleaning if any dirt generated from the gas burning process has deposited on them.

More Information About Our Services:

Under floor heating for new builds- Underfloor heating is very good as it is more eco friendly than using radiators and uses a lot less energy, meaning they will cost you much less in the long run! As long as you have installed it properly, which we will do it for you exactly how it should be done. You could save about 25% of the energy you would use with a radiator, and up to 40% when running from a heat pump

Full bathroom renovations - A simple remodel to your bathroom may include updating counter-tops, vanities, shower, bath and sink. Many times in a bathroom upgrade homeowners will re-tile the walls or re-paint the walls, and change the flooring. Most homeowners will take the opportunity to upgrade their faucets and fixtures when remodeling their bathroom. Look no further we can do all this for you.

Power flush retrofits - What happens during a Powerflush and how long could it take? Using a specialised machine, a chemical is circulated through your radiators, pipes and boiler at a high pressure. This flushes out any potentially inhibiting deposits and thus allows water to flow freely throughout your system.

Air to water heat pump installation - We will fit an air to water heat pump unit outside your house and you will need a controller and possibly two cylinders inside. The fan unit, which is often around 1200mm tall, 1000mm wide and around 400mm deep, will be connected to at least one hot water cylinder which is around 600mm wide by around 1600mm tall.
