Hi, my name is Frank Hacket and I am delighted to introduce you to Retro Barber Shop.

At Retro Barber Shop and Barbering Academy we offer a range of upmarket barbering services in the atmosphere of a classic modern barber shop at an affordable price.

Our goal is to provide all our customers with a quality service which makes our customers remember their experience at retro and to maintain our reputation as Limericks Best Barber Shop. In today’s world, a man’s appearance is very important, so at Retro we understand the power of presentation. We will assist you in making the right impression. Work or play we will make you feel your best for any occasion.

Retro Barbering Academy - At Retro Barbering Academy our courses are designed to educate, inspire and motivate barbers and hairdressers at all stages of their careers from experienced stylists to beginners. We are the only training facility to offer Accredited courses in the mid-west. Our unique method of training provides students with the fundamentals to fast track their barber career. We are an official approved training centre and offer Certification from Vocational Training and Charitable Trust (VTCT).

This course will develop your knowledge and skills that you will need to provide a quality barbering service. This course will develop your practical skills and gives you valuable experience in working with real clients and also a solid foundation for you to begin your barbering journey. Only 5 students per class so we can provide maximum support and advice throughout the course.

Accredited Hot Towel and Shave Course

This course is a complete in depth step by step guide in preparing the client, analyzing hair growth patterns, directions to shave, treatments of blemishes, shave techniques and finishing. You will see an up close shaving demo with traditional methods mixed with new techniques using hot and cold towels, oils and moisturizer. this course is suited for motivated Hairdressers / Barbers / Beauticians who want to offer Professional Hot Towel Shave service to existing clients while building up a new male clientele.

Only 5 students per class. Students will be expected to complete an assignment, assesments, and an Exam to achieve this accredited qualification.

Course Content (Models are Required) - Consultation prior to shaving - Hair growth patterns - Preparation for shave- Applying Hot Towels - Shave Techniques - Finishing Procedures - Health and Safety - External exam & assignment

This course offers you the opportunity to educate your team with our One day Barbering Seminar. Let us come and inspire you in the comfort of your own salon.

On this seminar you will see demonstrations and enjoy practical sessions.

This course is suitable for hairdressers who wish to gain more experience in cutting mens hair and increase their barbering knowledge. The course is on 1 evening a week for 5 weeks. Places are limited so book your place early to avoid disappointment.
