About

My name is Conor Fitzgerald, I am a stonemason based near Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, Ireland with over 20 years experience working with stone on buildings all over Ireland including houses, entrances, boundary walls and fireplaces.

I work with both new and reclaimed stone using different dressing techniques and pointing types to suit each customers requirements and budget.

In addition to professional and high quality stone work on contemporary buildings I am an expert in conservation and restoration of old stonework using traditional lime mortars, having trained at West Dean College, Chichester England (an RIBA approved training provider).

Hi
I am looking to have an old gravestone (+150 years old) repaired, it has broken cleanly off about halfway up. Is this the type of work you would do?
Thanks.

Hi there, I am enquiring about having a headstone reset and also inscribed.
It is situated at Kilmore cemetery in the Silvermines. Do you cover this area?

Using reclaimed stone can often lend character to new builds especially when used with lime mortar. Stone cladding when expertly crafted will add value and create a timeless finish to any home.

Repair and Re-pointing of Traditional Masonry using Lime Mortars

This magnificent entrance to Kilfrush Stud Farm in Knocklong Co. Limerick was in need of a full restoration.

Before the taking down of the walls and pillars the entrance was mapped and each and every stone was catalogued so that it could be rebuilt in exactly the same configuration as the original.
