Situated between Borrisoleigh and Upperchurch, Bright Ridge Studio offer a completely unique experience deep in the Tipperary hills and includes glamping and boatbuilding.

The owner Tim Davis is an experienced and highly skilled furniture and boat maker and offers the following:

Courses in traditional furniture making and boat building,
Glamping Accommodation
Self-catering Accommodation.

The courses provide a unique experience in a beautiful remote location with small workshop groups with one to one tuition.

Tim also produces bespoke and unusual furniture and other products, examples can be seen in the products and services section of this site.

Glamping

Glamping is essentially glamorous camping, typically in a beautiful, scenic and remote location.

It is a style of camping with amenities and services not usually associated with "traditional" camping. It combines escapism and adventure recreation with the luxury of hotel accommodation.

Bright Ridge Studios are one of the few companies providing glamping in Ireland and combine the remote beauty of the Tipperary hills with the comfort of luxurious glamping facilities. Boat building and furniture making are also available to visitors.

Boat Building

Boat building is an ancient craft that is undergoing a renewal in Ireland in recent times.

Tim Davis is a skilled and experienced boat builder and is now passing those skills on to the next generation.

Tim offers boat building courses on his premises in Tipperary, course participants can choose to travel each day or stay in either his on site glamping facilities or in his farm house self catering accommodation.

Courses and workshops take students on in small groups and this allows for one to one tuition.

Self Catering Accommodation

Bright Ridge Studios provide self catering accommodation in a traditional farmhouse setting. The facilities are ideal for the following:

Hill Walkers
Backpackers
Course Attendees

All visitors are given a map of the locality and expert guidance in how to explore the area fully and safely.

Boat and Furniture Sales

Tim is currently taking orders for bespoke furniture and also for custom made boats.

It has become more and more difficult to avoid mass produced products and in many cases the quality that was taken for granted in the past is now very difficult to find.

From previously completed work, a number of beautiful and unique pieces are available from Bright Ridge Studio, similar products can will not be bought anywhere else in the world.

We will be adding products to this site over the coming months.
