Moulin Roty

Once upon a time, there was a village called Moulin Roty . . .

Imagine, its 1972, and a group of 20 or so friends are searching for a common project that will provide both work and a certain way of life. The group decides to purchase an old mill that has fallen into ruins. They renovate the mill bit by bit so that their families can move in and live there together as a commune. The adventure begins with screen printing and craft items (lamps, jewellery, decorative items, children's toys . . . )

Emma Bridgewater

Emma Bridgewater is the oldest daughter in a large family and her mother Char provided the first inspiration for her as a designer.

Emma grew up in Oxford, where her mother’s welcoming kitchen was dominated by a scrubbed pine kitchen table and a big dresser covered in colourful, mismatched china including big Victorian meat plates, pretty cups and saucers and generous jugs big enough for a bunch of flowers from the garden.

Our accessory collection consists of

All are manufactured at their totally vertical woollen mill in Guiseley, West Yorkshire. From there they have full control. All the processes from dyeing and blending of the raw fibres to spinning the melange yarns, weaving, finishing the fabrics and then individually labeling and packaging the scarves to our customer’s requirements is completed in shop.
