About Billy Martin - I have been a stone mason and block layer since I left school at the age of 16 and learnt my trade off a local stone mason who had been in the business for 50 years. Stonework

Stone work is usually made of local materials varying from limestone, granite and sandstone.

However, the quality of building stone varies greatly, both in its endurance to weathering, resistance to water penetration and in its ability to be worked into regular shapes before construction.

Having created many quality stone work garden walls, steps and household entrance ways etc, we feel sure that together we can create the ideal stonework for your needs.

We cover all aspects of Blocklaying and Brickwork

Building a good foundation requires a lot more than digging a hole and pouring some concrete into forms. It must be tailored to its site taking into account soil conditions, water tables, even the quality of the backfill. While every house is built on a foundation, not every house is built on the same type of foundation. Foundation type is based on several factors, such as the house design, the geographical location and climate, soil and moisture conditions.

Blockwork Base for House

Our team of highly skilled and experienced tradesmen are at ease with all aspects of Brickwork construction. We are sure to have the skills and processes in place to meet your exact requirements.

Walls

We offer a service where we can build internal feature stone walls and external stone walls to suit your needs.

Fireplaces

A quality fireplace is the backbone of any good focal point. If you are looking to emulate nature indoors, installing a stone fireplace could be a step in the right direction. Color is also an important factor to consider. You can decide to go with a stone fireplace to match the overall tone of the room, or pick a hue to contrast.

Repointing Old Buildings

Some older stone buildings due to age, wear and tear may be in need of fixing the pointing on the original stonework. This is mainly Lime mortar that is used.
